    The blue ones, right?

They are not a copy of anything, exactly - ballistically, they are a miscellaneous RemChester/Verslite-ish wad and load like one. They are not very 'sticky' and you won't have any surprise pressure spikes.

Both 700-X and Red Dot (Promo) can get a little pressury in 1-1/8oz loads if you're wanting to go 1200+fps.

Assuming you're using AA/STS hulls, how does 19 or 20gn of Green Dot for ┬▒1150 or 1200fps-ish sound? If you're using straight-wall hulls, add another grain.

    They are good wads.

Straight out of the Down Range catalog. The XL-1 1/8 is equivalent to the Winchester WAA12. If you look at the Alliant site they reference the XL wad in many recipes. Below is a sample of one of the many loads directly from Alliant Guide linked above.

    Promo®/ Rem 209P/ WAA 12 & DRA12& DRXL 1 1/8 /16.0 grs 9400 psi 1090fps/17.0 grs 10100 psi 1045fps/18.3 grs 10300 psi 1200fps

Hint... the DR XL 1 1/8 fit best in Rem Hulls. The DRA12 fit best in AA's

Thank you all for the replies. I have both AA and STS hulls. I will check the Alliant web site. Jerry
