I have several thousand of these and I have noticed that loading the grey AA the line at the bottom of the shell case where the wads end. It is obvious now that I have these that I did not read the description for this wad for it was made for Federal cases and Rem STS and can be used in AA shells. My question is does it matter if that line or slight bulge is there because the wad is not tapered? I have plenty of STS cases if necessary to switch. Works fine in older AA reds.

I encountered the same problem using TGT-12 wads in Winchester hulls. The crimp was also substandard and the shell performance also suffered.

I've only loaded XL-1's in Remington hulls and had no problems what so ever.
