Anyone used the Downrange Pattern Control wads in the 410ga (orange) or 28ga (blue) hulls. Interested in loading the 410ga in both the Winchester AA old black letter, the new HS hulls and also some Remington STS hulls. Same combination for the 28ga hulls. Using a Spolar reloader if that makes a differance.

I have experienced "powder migration" problems when using ball-type powders in the 28 and .410 HS hulls. Both wads work great in the tapered hulls. Ron Renouf

The PC Orange .410 was takes up less room than the old WAA41 (white) wad. It should work well in the older (black lettering) AA .410's.

Anyone know if the Remington .410 wad is equivalent to the old WAA41 (white) wad? I have 1500 old style (non HS) Winchester AA's with the silver lettering and just realized that Winchester quit making the WAA41 (white) wad!

Most of us were using the Remington wad even when the Winchester was available. The PC may not take up enough room. Depends on your powder selection, etc. The Remington also appears to do a good job in the new HS .410 hull. IMHO Ron
