I don't know why the caution warning. I left a message for him yesterday and he called me today. He had been in Ohio at the Cardinal. I have on of his cases and he has worked on my TM-1. I agree he could charge more. I will use him again if needed.

Not familiar with Doug. Is he an all around gunsmith or a specialist?

Gunsmiths, like most craftsmen, get better with time.

I know I haven't been on this forum too long but I been around the world awhile and have been active on a lot of other gun and hobby forums. I have to say I really like this one except for this one thing.

Unless action is taken to stop this kind of black guarding this forum will end up a cesspool like a lot of the others or will end up closed down. I would hate to see that because I really enjoy reading this one and there are a lot of good trapshooters on here that know there stuff, have funny stories, and are willing to help a fellar out.

If you allow someone to spout out something bad about somebody it leads to a lot of fighting, arguing, hard feelings, and just takes the fun out of it. We should go by the Golden Rule and not say anything unless we have something good to say. More than that some forums have gotten themselves into legal troubles when it got out of hand, not saying we are there but this is how it starts. There have been other threads were someone says something bad about someone or some product.

A couple of other forums I go to just don't allow it. Either you have something positive to add or you keep quiet or you get kicked off for good. They also don't allow commenting on others sales. There are always two sides to a story and many times the person on the receiving end isn't even on the computer to defend himself. Once someone finally tells him it's too late, you can't unring a bell and once you've been trashed on the internet it's forever.

It wasn't the internet but 20 years ago a local newspaper ran a story using my name that was completely false, I didn't know about it because I was serving Uncle and wasn't getting mail much less the paper in the crap hole they had me in. I got home months later and found out about it and got a retraction put in the paper. But to this day I've had people ask me about that, seems everyone see's the bad news but nobody see's the good.

I had Doug do a little job for me at a MO shoot and he's a fine gunsmith in my book.

You can add another positive comment about Doug! As a matter of fact if it turns out I can shoot the TM1 I just bought the trigger will go to Doug for a conversion to release. I really like his work!

Seems like there is always someone who casts negative remarks about anyone and anything. I guess it is just their nature.

So there is no mistake, I do not shoot a release and bought a gun with one in it and had Doug change it back to a pull trigger ... Thats why I said "I had Doug "FIX" a release and now its a "PULL" trigger" ... I have had Doug work on many, many guns over the years and never had a complaint with him, his work, or his prices ... Now, Why don't some of you old guys who can't pull a trigger get yours fixed and make the world a safer better place ... WPT ... (YAC) ...
