Anyone know if any clubs around Rochester will be having a doubles league or do any clubs shoot doubles regularly? I know Walworth is having a double league but its a 2.5 hour round trip which is a bit farther than I'm willing to drive.

I think Mt Morris has one in the summer.

Thanks, I'll track someone from Mt. Morris down at York this weekend and see if they have any info.

Rich, I can't believe you haven't joined the Mt Morris Sportsman's Club yet.

They are the only club in your area that offers Trap, Skeet,Handgun Range and a 300 yard rifle range also a POI steel board.

You get a key to the main building and can shoot just about everyday of the year.

They will even invite you to their work parties when they have them and you will make some new friends.

    Ron,

I was going to go last Thursday night but I called and found out the meeting were on Tuesdays, not Thursdays.

I'll have my app in at Mt. Morris by their next club meeting!

I was just in the Rochester area last week and long the east side of the interstate highway leading to the area (I-390?), I spotted what sure looked like trap fields with lights facing the highway and about 200 yards away. It was perhaps 20 miles south of the airport; I meant to look for it on the way back to get a better idea of its location but forgot until I was past it.

Maybe Four Points? I think you can see the fields from 390.

Ed, That was Rochester Brooks Gun Club. Pretty famous club a few years ago.

The NYS ATA shoots were held there. I believe they still hold big skeet shoots.

I am sure somebody from there will fill you in.
