One with an adjustible comb. There are no guarantees what you buy will shoot where you look, which is a necessity on doubles. You can always cover, shoot under, or adjust on that first bird, but that second bird....Gun's gotta shoot where you look! A Browning with an adjustible comb would be worth a try. 30" barrels if your a rookie (faster), 32" barrels if you have your act together.

    Higbee4,

There is a thread on here with a Citori Plus for sale. These guns have all the bells and whistles. You might want to look into one.

winchester select energy. I got mine for 1300 and have seen prices on them ranging from 1000-1500, so their right in your price range.

The Citori is probably the best value you can hope for in a trap gun. Personally, I would never own another auto for doubles. You can buy a decent Citori for $800 & up. just my 2cents worth. Larry Evans
