Any thoughts from avid doubles shooters on a good doubles gun in the sub $3000 range? Browning and SKB come to mind...I've been shooting for about a year and want to get into doubles, as well as singles and 'caps. Many thanks for any suggestions that you may have.

I have owned both Browning and SKB. What little time I had the SKB it never give any probs. I got rid of it for a Browning XT under combo and to say the least, just love it. Deep down I am a Browning guy. You will have a very good argument on here about witch one is the best. The gun has to fit you. Then look at the one you want to own. There is one other thing I considered in "switching" to Browning. Resale value. As far as I can tell the Brownings have better resale value than SKB's.

I agree with goose2. They are basically the same gun. The resale of the browning is much better than the SKB. They both shoot well. If you can get a deal on a SKB just as good. Make sure its a newer model, older one with the updates from SKB. Break-em all. Jeff
