I just heard from Dave Price that Don Cain has passed away.

The good old guys are leaving us, one by one.

His wife, Linda, isn't doing great, but is hanging in there.

    Rest in peace, Don.

I used to live in Indiana and Don and Linda ran the Fulton County GC in Rochester Indiana. They really knew how to run a shoot and a club to keep people coming back. I liked going there a lot. I have been reading on here about Dons cancer and have been praying for him. This is a sad day for trapshooters. Don presented me with a money clip that was engraved 100X100 when I ran 100 at a registered shoot. I won a ton of cash that day because I played every option but the money clip meant more to me than the cash. I still cherish it today and likely will forever. Rest in peace Don. You were one of the best Killer shooters I ever shot with. Also a big thanks to you and Linda for all you have done for us shooters

Cuban you forgot to mention Linda's cooking. Some of the best I have had at any gun club. So sorry to hear this as Don was the exception rather than the rule.

Absolutely one of the good guys. I met Don and Linda in the late 80's in Florida and we were immediate friends. I cashiered with him a few times and learned a great deal, that was when we first began using computers to cashier. But his friendship and advice always has meant a great deal more to me. May he rest in peace and may his family find peace.

Don was riding around one evening at Mason with his little dog accompaning him. He stopped to visit us. He asked me if I had ever met his little dog. When I replied I had not,he called his little friend to his side. He asked his little friend if he would he rather be "dead" or a "Democrat". Immediatly the dog fell over & played dead. I about died laughing. Rest in Peace Don,our prayers are with you Linda. Wayne & Mary Downham / Camden, IN

We always enjoyed visiting with Don and Linda in the scoring room at MTA. Don always had a joke and we always had a laugh with them. We will miss you Don and our prayers are with you Linda.
