for the record, Judd Gregg is from New Hampshire, and he is sadly retiring, Bernie sanders is the Socialist from Vt. He is the one that SHOULD be retiring....

They do not take the time to understand the laws they make because it takes away from the time they use to make more laws ... Its governement we are talking about here folks, they want to protect us from ourselves ... WPT ...(YAC) ...

Senators and Representatives no longer make the laws. Their staff or other bureaucrats, sometimes large numbers of them, write up complex, convoluted gibberish with numerous flaws and a failed basic premise. Then the politician introduces it as his or her bill, with some willing co-sponsors. This is why they do not understand what it is they're voting on. They never bothered to read it, just took the word of their underlings.

You must understand these are professional politations and have made a life time carrier out of government. Mostly its not their fault,we the people let it happen by not paying attention.

No lawers should hold political position. I believe they would call it conflict of interest. The top five people should be empeached. If they were they would be on their way to prison.

Remember they can still go to prison after they are out of office for crimes committed durring office.

I often wonder how many on this sight voted for Berry obama. Buy the way Berry is his middle name till he changed it.

They don't have to understand them since they don't apply to them.

I think a lot of the laws are written by young overeducated hormone charged staffers from rich families with nothing better to do and who are spending some time during vacation or before law school playing in the government while on their way to high paying jobs where they can use their connections to maximize their ability to make money without really working.

I've heard that some staffers at SEIU wrote that nutty health care bill.
