Does Anyone Shoot Backline w/ O/U?

    Wondering if anyone has any success shooting from 27 w/ an O/U? I have been practising w/ my O/U - seem to be see the targets quicker and am smoking them.I have only seen 1 shooter who uses an O/U from 27.Thanks

    Daro Handy shot with a 34" Perazzi O/U for a couple of years but has gone back to using his 1100.

    Back in the day...(the sixties,) everybody who didn't shoot a model 12 or an 870 shot a 30" o/u from all yardages, and damned well I might add! Never underestimate the effect of "cool" on what we do or how we do it. Jack

    Gary Hammonds PITA All Star for many years used a Browning Citori for everything. Shoot what breaks the targets for you.

    Richard Shrode from Oregon shoots with an MX 8 over and under . He has won many State state handicap- singles-doubles with the over and under. Don't ever remember him using the single barrel. Truly a nice man as well as great shooter.

    One of the best all around shooters I have ever seen shot a DB81 over/under for everything, smoked everything with that gun. The late David McKinney from Ohio.

    My father (AA27AA) Shoots a 32" o/u Summit combo from the 27. He only shoots the 34' unsingle for the singles. 91.40 ave on 2000 targets with it 2011 target year.

    I believe Mike Hermans shoots a P gun from the 27 and shoots it very well

    P D Parker manager of San Antonio, Tx (downtown)shoots a short bbl O/u for every thing and pretty well I might Add. Bob

    Yes mike does shoot. O/U for all 3 and does it very well.
