Well, it's almost November 2nd and it's time to think about my vote. First and foremost I value my freedoms and rights. The Second Amendment comes to mind. In my youth, back in the fifties, I received my first .22 cal. rifle, a birthday present from my late father. Yesterday, I made my bi-weekly trip to the gun club and shot 2 rounds of trap. It's easy to just feel that I'll always have that .22 and be able to be FREE, although it's not free, to go shoot trap; but will it be in our future? I believe that the 2nd Amendment has always been the intent of our Founding Fathers to be an INDIVIDUAL RIGHT not just the right to form a militia because obviously the individuals had the weapons and then came the militia, not conversely.

I believe, since all of the anti-gun socialists, the organized and well-funded gun hating groups, George Soros, are all aligned with the Dems, therefore, the clear choice for me would be independents and/or Republicans. If you live in OHIO, the commercial for the Governor's race aimed at hunters stated that Stickland is an "A+" rating while Kasich is an "F" rating; check your November, 2010 NRA magazine, Republican Kasich is a "B" rating and is considered to be a pro-gun candidate. It's important to know that Strickland's running mate, Yvette McGee Brown, Democrat, is an "F" RATING versus Kasich's running mate, Mary Taylor is an "A" rating from the NRA. It has been said the next in line from the Lt. Governor to Governor is only 1 heartbeat away.

Now, for the U.S. Senate, Republican Rob Portman, is an "A" rating versus Democrat Lee Fisher is an "F" rating. Seems to me that if a person is an "F" rating is indeed a true enemy of your gun rights, I suspect the other rights are also in their gunsights. Will you trust your guns to the DEMS? BT-100dc

I live in Ohio and have, for the last couple weeks, been getting mailings from a anti-gun group called Americans United for Safe Streets. They are a fear mongering anti-freedom group and at first I was outraged by the mailing and was going to write a letter for them to stop sending me their propoganda. Then, after talking to my smarter half, she recommended I write them and request as much info as they will send. This way the group will continue to spend money on sending information to someone who is subsequently burning it. Also, perhaps that is less propaganda they will send to people "on the fence" about gun rights. While this may not have any effect on their overall operation, burning, or better yet shooting, the propaganda sure will make me feel better.

    Stay strong, support freedom!

I don't trust the democrats to look out for my gun rights and I sure don't trust the republicans to look out for the working class. The democrats need to get off the gun control wagon and the replublicans need to start getting a little better at representing the american people and not just big business interests the way they have been doing for far to long now. Even so, I will be voting for whomever runs against Barack Obama. Neil Swenson

BrowningPotato, Post their address so we can order paperwork too. It will work great for starting our fires in the gun room fireplace.

Here in upstate NY, we gun owners can only hope that the Republicans will control the State government even though we will probably end up with one of the biggest anti-gun Governors in the form of Andrew Cuomo. Our present governor, David Patterson recently fired the DEC Commissioner because he would not cut another 250+ jobs from the DEC staff. Cuomo, et al, have no use for hunters and any other kind of gun owners. We New Yorkers are in for a fight and unlike Chicago, we can only vote once!! Larry Evans

I don't trust the Dems with anything and our choices for Senator here in the Republik of Illinois are both non-supporters of the Second Amendment. Kirk is no friend of gun owners nor is "Alexi". I voted. Now I write a letter to Kirk and say that the first time he supports Durbin in another anti gun bill I promise to double my donations to the NRA, ISRA, and anyone who will run against him the next time. I'm sure he'll be impressed.

Anyone who follows the gun issues has to know that the Democrats
would take our guns in a heart-beat. They cannot be trusted in any
gun related matter. Hopefully, this election will set them back
    for another 10 years.

I don't trust the Republicans with my guns and I trust the Dems far less.

Keep in mind a lot of Republicans voted for the 1994 AWB. In fact, it would not have passed without Republican support.

Keep your friends close and your enemies closer.

I don't trust any of these damned politicians.
Most of them should be tried for treason, espionage or just deported.
I'd be the first to drag a few behind my pickup truck down a stone road.

Obama is a fascist bag of sh!t.

You all better be ready to remove this P.O.S. during the 2012 elections.
Wait and see what happens if you sit on your asses. You won't like it.
