    Hello:
Over the years I have collected certain items as a hobby. When I was a kid I collected baseball cards. As a young adult I collected, trap guns, old newspapers and magazines. My father use to collect bird house radios. About the only thing I collect now a days is dust.

So do you collect anything? Please share with us if you do, maybe you could also include a picture if you would like?

I describe myself as a minor-league collector of pre-MIM and IL Smith & Wesson square-butt revolvers and Remington Model 700s made between 1997 and 2001 as well as Remington models that enjoyed a brief production life - primarily XP100Rs, 870 Competitions, Model Six pump rifles. My "short list" is down to about a half-dozen pieces I would like to have, so the obsession is dying down.

I collect coffee cups from places I've been in my car not nearly as expensive except the travel part. From Wasilla, Alaska to Decatur, Tenn.

While walking the dog I look for these old brass casings on my land. An old road crossed and I guess a lot of shooting happened! My son's are each hoping they are listed in the will! I have no idea what to do with them.

Wives, but that is another story. lol

I used to collect hats. If I saw a good one in a bar, I'd try to buy it off of the guy and sometimes I'd even succeed.

Wouldn't say it was a hobby, but I used to collect match books. Got hundreds of em, would pick em up whenever I was traveling from hotels, bars, casinos, nightclubs, etc.. You can go back and look at em and try to remember where that place was, that you got the match book. I've got a match book from probably every now defunct Vegas Casino; The Dunes, The Landmark, The Frontier, Silver Slipper. The Sands, etc... and hundreds of other now shuttered bars, restaurants across the country.

Now smoking isn't allowed so there are no more match books. I never smoked cigarettes anyway just an occasional fine cigar.

A friend of mine started collecting shot glasses when he traveled so to be different I collected match books.

Years ago I had a great collection of U.S. M-1 Carbines. At the peak I had 66 of them....All the prime manufacturers.....many unfired.....thousands of spare parts. I had a lot of fun putting the collection together. Over the years the prices got so high I sold them off a little at a time and now I have ONE!!! Kept one just to shoot once in a while...........Uncle Sam, Pa.
