I believe Leo used to shoot an 1100. Reliability is their big issue. They normally shoot more in one year than the average shooter will shoot in 10 years.

Zookie and Daro have made semi-autos look unbeatable, on occasion. When I was undergoing a flinching problem, a 303 kept me in the game for years. I never thought I was at a disadvantage. Now I don't shoot one, but keep a couple handy, "just in case."

No trap big dog shooters that I am aware of shoot a semi.

A big dog can likely shoot anything well but why shoot inferior equipment unless you need to.

Didn't Daro Handy set the record for 505 or 525 straight from the 27 with an 1100?

Apparently D. Lee Braun liked "inferior" guns.

There was a time when 1100s and 870s ruled the roost, along with Model 12s.

Not a great big shooting dog, but do my share of breakin em kwith my 1100's. Also at times when things ar right to a certain point, that is with this disease I have. I shoot my 870's. The 1100 require a little more attention but have had no major problems with them in the last 7 or 8 years. Shot 870's before that. No major problems then either. RJ FROM AZ.
