I've recently discovered that my trigger wiggles side to side. It bugs me like a loose tooth used to bug me. Where I would toy with the tooth, I find myself wiggling the trigger.

I visited two gunsmiths at the Grand and both told me it was in spec, yet I could have sworn that my BT99 at home didn't wiggle. It does. So does the other BT99, the Citori, and a 3200. Even the RBL.

I haven't checked, but do ALL shotguns exhibit that same wiggle? I know I just need to get over it and I will just as soon as I come to understand that every trigger wiggles side to side.

Trigger is mounted on a pin. Pin goes through the receiver. If there was no 'slop' or clearance to the holes the pin goes through you wouldn't be able to move it. Excessive movement is bad. Might be you could get yourself a stronger return spring but too strong will not be good either. Movement by itself is necessary and normal. Perhaps, instead of wiggling triggers, you can watch targets fly or ladies walking by > grin <.

I just checked my Alfermann. No side-to-side wiggle.

Larry, I think it's normal. I just checked mine and it will move side to side. I don't notice it otherwise, BT's aren't exactly precision instruments.

Put a thin washer on the pin on each side of the trigger. HMB
