Why Sportshot? MX 8 has leaf springs, the MT 6 has coil springs without a removable trigger. Most MT 6 owners will tell you they are the best value out there for a shooter. Big price difference generally. I think the MT 6 may have been the first choke tubed gun from Perazzi, early 70's I think.

Barrels will interchange if the forend lugs match (only a few of the MT6s had the type 4 lug though). You can interchange either way if you keep the forend with the barrel.

The type IV guns are basically the same gun as an mx2000 sporting with out the engraving and about 4-5k less.

side ribs and $1500. Type 4 refers to the barrel lug and forend design.
