Urika 2 has the new Optima Bore System which is slightly larger bore of .732 vs. the older .729 bore and thusly is supposed to give a better overall pattern and such.

Urika 2 also has a new spinning type toothed piston that is supposed to keep the piston cleaner while reducing the maintence and improving the reliability of the gun.

The Urika 2 also has a new enhanced wood finish to improve the overall appearance of the gun.

Other than that the Urika and the Urika 2 are about exactly the same other than the list prices. The Urika 2 is only $50 more MSRP. If given the chance get the Urika 2. A friend recently ordered and received a 30" parellel comb model for less than $1100.

Actually, the Urika also has the Optima bore and the Parallel target comes with 5 extended chokes.

I have the Urika Parallel comb SL with 30" barrel NIB for $995.00. If you're looking for one, call me.

Thanks for the replies. I'll see if I can take a look at the Urika 2. Given the improvements in the gun, I think I'll get the newer one.
