I have a Browning XT, and I was wondering what difference if any from that to an Ultra XT. I'm assuming the internals are the normal Citori insides, is the only difference the name?

    Thanks in advance

The ultra xt is the first run. Then they just started calling them the xt.

It seems to me the "palm" swell on an Ultra XT is a bit smaller than an XT. Joe joe90t

They are the same.. I have an Ultra XT I purchased in 1999. I have read (Where or when I do not know), Browning had to qiut putting " Ultra " on the XT because Weatherby had anlready used it on something and complained about infringement rights.. Good gun no matter what you call it..

No palm swell on the Ultra.
Browning had to quit useing the word "Ultra" because of another product infringement rights.
