Difference between Browning 525 Amer& Europ.?

    What is different between them. One ported and one is not. That is the only thing I can see different. Thanks JD

    The European 325s were .723 bores and lighter in weight than the overbored American models. Can't say what the deal is with the 525s....

    Take a look at the stock design between the two. The Euro has a parallel comb style stock. The lack of porting is so that you can shoot Bunker/International trap. They don't allow porting!

    I went through this when searching for my first trap gun. For the most part the diffs are, Uuros do not have all the bells and wistles ie porting, avalible fix choke, no crazy light pipe sights. One huge diff check out the prices. UK paying about 700.00 us $$ more last i checked.

    From recollection, the American 525 has that "angled" receiver where the stock meets the receiver and backbored barrels.

    The European has the 'standard' shaped receiver and "regular" bores.

    So basically it is no porting and standard not overbored barrels. JD
