Please tell me if Ithaca made any of their 16 gauge "Flues" double barreled guns chambered in 2 9/16"? If so, would such a gun need to be rechambered to accept 2 3/4" modern shells?

I am quite sure they did, although there is no mention of it in Walt's book. As to lengthening the chambers that would be left up to a competent smith. And yes it should be rechambered to shoot 2 3/4 in. shells. Although with the price of 16 gauge shells it would be just as easy to buy 2 9/16 shells from RST. Bill

Bill has it right just buy 2 9/16 shells and leave the chambers original.
