I called local Dicks they were out of AAs they do not order its automatic, they do not give rain-checks. and are not supposed to hold sale items. They had 10 cases of AAs the limit was 5 so two customers got lucky. This is no way to service their customers I'm not too surprised, I looked for a contact number at headquarters I could not find one.

must be a regional thing....here in northern VA, Dicks only had AA's for Buy One Get One for %50 off. Walmart consistently sells 12 or 20 gauge AAs for $7.57 near me....

Wouldn't go in a Dick's if they were giving shells away.

Went to another one of my local Dick's today. Saw the Win AA promotion. $8.98 was the regular retail, and was displayed with the Win AA shells, in addition to the buy 1, Get 1 $50 off promo ad. So I pick up one case and head down to the checkout.

Girl rings up the ammo, each box is registering $6.98, then takes 5 of the boxes and gives me the %50 off. So I get a case of AAs for like $55 and change.

It seems like Dicks already takes off the $2 rebate at the register...so I assume Win is not going to honor the $2 rebate if I submit my Dicks receipt with the $6.98 pricing?

Allotment is based on sales history; if they don't sell much of it at that store they don't get much of it either. Corp doesn't care if you don't agree; they would rather not sell guns anyway as they are low margin/low turnover.

Dick's is always running gimmick adds. Just sell the stuff for a good low price and forget the bs. Go to almost any local sporting ggods store and buy the AA or Remington's for 68-70 a case and then turn in the rebate. They will be cheaper than Dick's anyhow plus you can get what you want.

I went to both the Dulles and Fairfax stores. Ended up buying my shells at the Fairfax store because the price on the Win AA was a dollar cheaper...what's up with that?? And they did not have any ads for the STS shells....if they did I would had stocked up on them as well.

'nother Dicks story to tell around the 'ole campfire
