I need advice on how to remove two dents on my forearm that was in need of refinishing. Short of a wood filler any other suggestions? Thanks, John

If its down to the bare wood, you can lay a wet wash cloth on it and use the clothes iron to apply heat and raise the wood in the dent. I've done it on a table i re-did and don't see why a wood forearm would be any different. It has to be down to the bare wood though.

I refinished a junker 682 stock and forend and the wet wash cloth and iron works. It takes several tries to lift a dent due to the density of the wood so be PATIENT. It will work; however, if the wood fibers are crushed or cut it will help but it will not eliminate the flaw.
