I just love demographic threads. Especially here on TS.com, it just gives those against guns and shooting so much ammunition as to what demographics of the world are shooters.

BTW ... why would you be collecting the information in private? Are you planning on putting up some overall demographic chart with the results or just collecting the information for your own giggles?

MIA ... I would try a $30k to $32K gun, with the pride in ownership of that gun and figuring that with a $20K gun and an average of 16 birds that would make it an aprox pride in ownership of $1250 per target and that would equal out at a $30k to $32k gun to have a 24 or 25 average.

Yep ... you need more pride in ownership to shoot higher scores.

This should be question #11 on the demographic survey ... what is your pride in ownership per target.

    11. $31 to $32 per target or $650/21=$31

Excuse me but 1 of my posts are on topic, 1 could be considered both on topic if consideration is given to adding the 11th question and the last would be another possible on-topic since I was helping somebody with there problem in the contacting you for the survey so ...

If we count the one as full on topic and count the other remaining two as a 1/2 each that would make it more like 3 posts from me with the equal of 2 being on-topic and only 1 being off-topic. ;-)

So what about adding the 11th question?

BTW I would regard this post as being an aproximate 3/4 on-topic so that make me now 4 posts on this thread and 2-3/4 of them being on topic for an average of 69% ... that would make me an ATA class "D" poster. ;-)

MIA ... Perazzis = over priced Stoegers if all you can hit is 15 to 17 birds and if was a regular priced Stoeger that would drop your pride in ownership value down to only $19 a bird. ;-)

I was on a skeet field once when a good friend was showing off a new Kriegoff once. He was so proud of it and everyone was admiring it so much when one guy looked over his shoulder and said ... that sure is a fancy Stoeger you got there, the other was a little upset when everyone started to laugh at the comment ... with your low average anything more than a Stoeger is a waste.

He aint under my skin ... nobody has gotten under my skin in along time ... matter of fact even I dont want to get under my own skin.

Mr Oletymer sir ... you are a very smart man, a very smart man if you had 4 years of education + college ... a very smart man in dead. ;-)

So what about adding the 11th question of Pride in ownership?

BTW ... I would consider this post being 1/2 on topic so that drops my average to 65%. I wonder if I bought a new keyboard, like some shooters buy a new gun if that would help with my posting average? What do you think MIA?

    Pride of Ownership ...

Your gun costs $1,000 and your average 20 broken birds per round of 25 ... $1,000 divided by 20 birds is $50 per bird. Ya know come to think of it ya might want to do it as a 100 rounds of birds which would drop the above "Pride of Ownership" level to $12.50 and then that would bring my own individual "Pride of Ownership" to $7.75

The lower the "Pride of Ownership" value is the actual better shot you are. The lower the number is will only go to show that you do not need a big dollar gun to be a good shot. Say somebody with a $300 Stoeger averages 94 out of 100 birds for a PoO value = to $3.33 and another shooter has a $3000 Berreta with the same average of 94 out of 100 that would make his PoO value = to $31.92 ... I would say that a $3.33 price per target is far better than $31.92 so $3.33 is a far better shooter.

Does that make any sense? It kind of does to me and if does make good sense to you ... well ... can ya explain my gibberish to me?

BTW this post is 100% on-topic so that brings my on-topic posting to 68%, I best be careful and not let it get to hign.
