The governing class is for one thing. To do the bidding of the people who have the money and the power.

Making us swallow it is just part of the job.

"This will only hurt a little bit"

"I'll only put it in a little"

"The check is in the mail"

"Vote for Me for change in Washington"

Next bus to Mars, I'm on it.

Stand up for the working man??? The only reason they would stand up for them is to tax the heck out of them. Period. Dumocrats would income tax a fence post if they could get the legislation passed.

Also,,a very BIG also,,most dumocrats would take pure delight in relieving everyone of their firearms. I don't need any part of their "stand up for the working man" deceit.

What's amazing is how many working men get suckered by the Demoncraps. And then they come here and tell us how they enjoyed taking it without lube, while they're taxes are jacked, their jobs go overseas, and they're guns are melted down.

Working man??? Some are, but you can watch the news and see how most of their backers are. Drugs, robbing, murder, the list goes on. Thats what their class stands for.

tell him he sounds like a "union organizer". Republicans are the original Democratic Party (GOP - Grand Old Party?!). Today's democrats are nothing more than socialists.

That should start a good dialogue!

With all our industrial jobs leaving our shores, who do we point the finger at? Both parties get equal blame there. This HS began in earnest with Jimmy Carter and will escalate even more till they've accomplished a two class system. Hap

I have completely given up. I knew when Bill Clinton got reelected it was over. I looked yesterday at our national debt. It is 9 trillion dollars and grows every day. I think that is roughly 10,000 dollars for every man, woman and child. That is before the baby boomers retire and put an enormous strain on that debt. If you look at a chart of the national debt, adjusted for inflation, it is pretty steady after a short bump during WWII until about 1982 then it starts up and keeps getting steeper. It doesn't matter who is in office. I saw a commercial with Hillary yesterday promising government help with housing, health care and college tuition. Cradle to grave coverage from the government. I don't know where they think the money is going to come from. We are about to the point where more people have their hand out wanting something for nothing than don't. Everyone asks a politician, what are you going to do for me to get my vote.

It's going to be time for a real change.

When a true leader arises, the first thing he whould do is put the government in default.

Much of the debt was foreign aid giveaway programs. More of it is held by countries who have stolen our production from us by using sweatshops, and with the help of our governing class.

Many municipalities have gone into default, unable to pay the bond issues they had out. Mobile, Alabama, bridgeport Connecticut, Detrpit, Michigan, Little Rock, Arkansas, that was just when bonds were a new thing.

Chicago and Philly did it in 1857. After the Civil war There was a waterfall of defaults form 1870-1890. Des Moins, San Antonio, Mobile, Pittsburgh, Topeka, and on and on.

Only one problem, with our manufacturing base gone, how are we going to make a living? Perhaps we can become financial advisors to the world. (The Swiss may have something to say about that).

I guess we can just go on the dole, and let the rest of the world send aid to us. It went the other way for a century or so, now it's our turn.

    Fat chance.

Halfmile, if your refering to the Clintons, your right. Bill was in a hurt (money wise) after he lost N.H. to Paul Songas in 1992. He then came out for NAFTA that niether PaPa Bush or Ronny R. good get thru the Dem. Cong. Boy, he had all kind of funding coming in from Corp.s In other words,he pulled a Neo-con deal selling his soul to the highest bidder. In 2000 I wrote in J. McCain as the primary canidate was chosen before we voted, (Shame on me). Because he led a party of Five Senators & Fifty/Sixty CEOs to VietNahm to enter their cheap labor (slaves) market. No live PoWs found and one set bones identified as an American. But thousands of American jobs given to a communist government. I wonder how much money those 5 Senators got for campain purses and golf outings.. Spitting on the graves 52 plus thousand of America's finest who died fighting idealolgy (communism). Sound familar: deja vue. Mike

You are right. Since yesterday I lowered it in my head. 9 trillion divided by roughly 300 million. Either way it will never be paid down. We have become a Socialist nation.

highflyer, I am uncertain about the meaning of you post where you say it was over when Bill Clinton was re-elected and now the national debt is 9 trillion. I believe if my memory is correct. Clinton as Pres. with a Republican house and senate was only time that this country had a balanced budget in the last 30 years. 9 trillion of debt came from W's 7 years in office.

It seems to me that Democrats have to tax when they get in office to pay for all of the over spending that some Republicans are prone to do. However, it doesn't matter, because every politician is a hooker that will do just about anything for money/contributions. What makes them a Democrat or Republican is who their customers are. That is my point. It really doesn't matter. 30,000 dollars for every man, woman and child and growing by over a billion dollars a day. And Hillary last night on my television offering to help in home buying, college tuition and health care. It was only a matter of time before those with their hands out outnumbered those who value their own freedom more. Single women, blacks, old people, Mexicans and many white men fully expect the government to take care of them. This country is in a downward spiral fiscally and morally and nothing or nobody is going to stop it. One bad generation is going to throw away everything that was built over several generations.

How can the Democrats be the party of the working man? The working man is the backbone of America's labor force and yet it sides with a political party that has its hand in their pocket! I'm not sure either policial party is a friend of the working man, the real difference gets down to voting for the party "that lets you keep the most money for your hard work." That's the party of the working man!

Remind them that it was Bill Clinton (w/ the aid of a Democrat Congressman casting the deciding vote) that signed the first 3 NAFTA bills, two of them accelerating the terms so that the manufacturing jobs could leave earlier.

FWIW, Clinton 'balanced' the budget on the backs of our military, with unused money from the Reagan/Bush1 collapse of the USSR, and don't forget the smoke-and-mirrors accounting scandals that were discovered when Bush2 took office.

Yes, GOP was for the working man while Teddy was prez. When Grafty-Taft got in the party became corrupt, his hands where in pockets of the likes of the Van Burens, Mellons and other hi-rollers. This why Teddy came back from Europe and formed the Bull-Moose party... A little history. Mike
