Deleting archived posts

    Why would you want to delete old posts? Some contain useful information.

    All you accomplish by deleting posts is screw up a thread so it makes no sense and also makes the search function less useful. Diskspace is very cheap now, if they want to save they would work on making this forum software more efficient by having it load less threads at a time with the option to load (next 50 threads)instead of 3 days worth(minimum now). Bandwidth costs could be brought down significantly, but deleting posts to save space is laughable, even the pictures you upload don't take up much space if sized properly, 150k or less, a 1024 x 768 can be as little as 30k and still be excellent quality. A 500gig hard drive will hold about 5 million pictures at 100k each and it costs about 50 bucks- just bought 4 for 30 bucks each. A simple post to a thread is much smaller.

    This post is just under 1 kilobyte, The background image used here is 2.23k. There are 524,288,000 kilobytes on a 500 gig drive.
