1. We have added the ability for anyone to 'bump' threads that they have created. This is mainly useful in the classifieds area where posters constantly bump for sale threads to bring it to the top. This allows them the ability to do that without having to clutter the thread with extra 'TTT' and 'Bump' type posts. To bump it, go inside your thread and click on 'Thread Tools' at the top, then select 'bump'. You can bump only once per 24 hour period.

For more detailed information please see this post: Thread Bump Functionality.

I bought a new twin to yours in the mid-70s for just a hair over $100 and thought I'd made a fortune on it when a target shooter offered me $450 for it in the early 90s. I sold it thinking I'd replace it with a Victor but never have.

I don't think it's possible for one of those things to be inaccurate!

What is the main difference between a Victor, a Supermatic and a Citation. I have a very old Citation in about 90% or better condition. Jimmy Borum

Ed that depends on what your expectation of accuracy is. I have several HS pistols and the factory barrels shoot no where near accurate as my custom Shilen barreled one's do. Jimmy, Supermatic's are target pistols Trophy, Citation, and Tournament were the grade of the Supermatic pistols. Trophy being the best with finish and adjustable triggers, Tournament being the least. The Victor is a ribbed (ventilated or solid) barreled Supermatic and they all came in slant grip series #103 or military grip series #107

All I can say is that my club's very competitive bullseye team won a lot of leagues and most of them shot High Standards with the odd S&W thrown in. My old gun is still winning shoots!

That's one very nice gun! I wish I could shoot well enough to do that gun justice.

That is a nice looking gun. I have never owned or shot this particular model, but if it is as reliable as my High-Standard M-101 Dura-matic, then it is a great little gun. I'm sure this heavy barreled pistol is far more accurate than mine.

If anyone has a SLANT grip VICTOR for sale, I would be interested in purchasing it.

    Thanks.

twin--You should really start your own "WTB" thread instead of hijacking Mr. Skeel's. It's just a bit rude.

Jim Skeels Trophy was made in 1975 and High Standard was still building high quality guns. When the SH series came out the quality was lacking.

Twin, when you say "slant" grip do you mean the "sport grip?"

Did HS ever make a sport grip Victor? I've not seen one.

A slant grip High Standard has the look of a Luger, The military grip (model's 106 107) have a grip angle of the 1911 Colt. Yes they made very few slant grip Victors and they bring big bucks when you can find one.
