I have heard that the reduction trigger is not on your total targets shot BUT on the best 1,000 within your total targtets shot.

i.e.: Total hdcp. targets shot 5,000 with overall average of 87% BUT you have 1,000 targets in there with a 94% average.

This would mean no reduction offered. Is this right????

Don, I'm not a Delegate but I am a Life Member and I was not offered the 2 yard reduction because I shot 400 Handicap targets in 2012 with an average above the Western Zone trigger point even though I shot 4100 Handicap targets in 2011 with an average below the trigger. I have a friend who was awarded the 2 yard reduction offer with 100 handicap targets shot in 2008 with an average below the trigger. It seems that the only criteria is 1) Paid up member and 2) Average for the last target year on record is below the zone trigger.

Life member, last time I shot registered 2006 400 handicap, I just looked up my member info and I went from 27 to 25.

It's all still based on the LAST 1000 handicap targets shot. If in the last 1000 targets you have NOT earned any yardage and if you're below the trigger point for your zone you should be offered the 2 yard reduction.

The process by which reductions are determined hasn't changed.

Interesting that it didn't take into account reductions for the previous 1000 targets....just added the 2 yards to it...

I think that the Delgates are as confused as the rest of us. After all, they didn't vote on this, they didn't know it was even in the system.

I am upset that I didn't get the 2 yard reduction....I had less than the Western point. LOL

I don't believe that anything in the way of reductions is mandatory.

    You can refuse it...

You can go online and put a hold on yourself so you never get offered a reduction. It's not mandatory, you can refuse it. If you really feel the need for a reduction, go out and pop off a nice 75 and you'll spend the rest of the shoot year trying to get over it. You'll also get a reduction offer.

635 G... I would imagine those 18 yard shooters don't have very a high 16 yard average making it a little difficult to shoot high scores for a win.

Personally I didn't get the two yards and that's just fine with me. If I squad with someone who got it thats fine also. I'll just try harder to keep them there. lol

It doesn't matter if you were punched in the last 1000. I shot a couple of 97's in the last thousand, got the 2 punches and still got the 2 yard reduction because my average wass below the break point.

I am surprised more shooters haven't received the reduction maybe they are not completed yet.

    Good luck.

    Shawn,

You're right. I don't think the process is finished yet.

Maybe they aren't finished going through the entire membership yet? I got a punch 400 targets ago- but still laying well below the breakpoint average and no reduction yet.
