I am getting back into casting my own bullets for some of my hand guns and I was wondering if anyone here has a suggestion for the best De-greaser for bullet moulds. One that won't leave a residue that would interfere with moulding good bullets.

I would appreciate any suggestions and thanks.

If you have put a heavy coat of grease on your moulds to store them, wipe the excess off and then heat you moulds with the melted lead. I usually rest the bottom 1/4-3/8" of the mould in the pot until it get to a workable temperature, fill the cavities and when they harden, discharge back into the pot and repeat until you have a nice looking bullet. It should clean itself out in a cast or 2.
You could always use a break degreaser but the above method works as well ans you don't have to buy anything else.

I use rubbing alcohol and a q- tip.

Then spray well with wd 40 when done.
