I am going to purchase new pair trap shooting glasses.

Looking for clear best optics and field of view, no fuzzy glare.

The problem with my old Zeiss glasses is I see the top of frame when my head is down on the stock,

With head down on stock i want to be able to see through the centre of the lens.

Where better to ask for advise I am sure a lot of you currently wear.

Decot Classic vs RE Ranger xlw

Thanks in advance for some pros and cons to help with my purchase.

Get frames that have an adjustable nose piece. That way you can center the lense in front of your eye. HMB

I've owned both. My Decots were stolen and I replaced them with Rangers.

The Rangers are lighter and I like the bridge adjustment mechanism better.

Lens quality is the same between the brands. It seems to me that Rangers have surpassed Decot in recent years for popularity, but that may be merely a perception.

If you will be at the Grand you can try both for a very close comparison before buying.

Both are quality products, and you really can't go wrong with either.

I like my Decots, I bought them at the Iowa State Shoot for $135 bucks. They are the new shaped lenses.

    Ford vs Chevy...

I've dealt with both and had great experiences. You won't go wrong with either IMHO.

I'll throw out a thumbs up for the Ranger Edge vs. the XLW... I like a larger lens to better cover the entire orbit of the eye from a safety perspective and with the adjustable nose bridge, you can't see the top edge...

Randolph has been promoting their new tougher polycarb with claims of more impact resistance coupled with better optics... If you want the guy to speak with, call Wayne Morgan @ Morgan Optical Sport Glasses...

Just ordered some XLW lenses for one of my guys and a Ranger Edge set for another... Wayne is the best!

I have both. For some reason that I can't explain I end up wearing the Ranger's. Often with a Decot lens set that I particularly like.
