It is high time to address your city's murder rate, the highest in the nation. Your recent finger pointing at guns illustrates your inexperience at correctly diagnosing problems and indicates that under your former boss you learned more about vote buying than developing practical problem solving solutions. First, the diagnosis. The bloods, crips and ms-13 and their subsidiaries are in every major city and yours is no exception. These gangs are reportedly funded primarily through sale of illegal drugs. Given that illicit drugs are so profitable and your city homicide rate is escalating and with no apparent progress in stemming gang violence, it is clear why you put the emphasis on guns. Diverting attention may keep reporters from asking questions of your departments upper level personnel and internal affairs. Again, referring to your former boss, I suggest you appoint an anti-drug gang Czar. This individual should be put in charge of a task force and given authority to use whatever means necessary to solve the problem. I highly recommend a man with street savvy smarts and practical hands on experience in dealing with drug thugs. He can be reached through the Florida department of corrections. Ask for Mr. Zimmerman.

Yet again another Illinois/ Chicago politician that lines his pockets and protects his own and blames everyone else for his short commings. Not unlike his past bosses Obamam and Richie Dalye. Common Sense and Illinois those terms just don't work together.
