    Dear Mr. President,
Though I still believe you were the better choice to win this last election, I believe it is time for you to begin acting. You made a lot of promises. I do not, and I assume most Americans do not expect you to carry out all the promises you made. However, it seems as if you are full of ideas yet don't have any idea what to do. You surround yourself with advisors who are supposed to be specialists in their respective fields, yet not much has been done. Please begin to act like you have confidence in being able to execute your policies instead of just having confidence that your policies are correct. Though you still have much great potential, you need to start tapping into that or you will find yourself out of a job in 2012, and I will be there to help vote you out. The past system and administration has failed, so you were given your opportunity, do not pass it up. Unlike the last president, you may only get one chance. Though I agree with your policy on the Afghanistan War, be careful for throughout all of history, the armies who go into Afghanistan are not successful, and end up driving their country into an even bigger hole. Good luck Mr. President, and god speed, for America's patience is running out, and without much guidance this country does not have long to survive.

You've lost your political virginity, young man.

Next time someone promises you everything, for free, and offers no sound plan to pay for it, and has no experience doing anything even remotely similar to what they're promising to do now, maybe you will remember not to fall for it. Charisma and eloquence do not equal competence or intelligence. 99% of the time, government is not the solution -- it's part of the problem.

    Welcome to adulthood.

shannon, no. I still do support the President, he's just got to get his act together. Everyone needs a good swift kick in the ass every once in a while.
GW, I am not one of those who believed that Obama would be able to provide everything for free and make everything happy happy joy joy. I understand the cost of reforming health care, energy reform, education reform, and etc. I believe they are worth the costs in extra taxes. Also, no candidate offers strong descriptions of how they are going to implement their policies while they're running. At least any that I can remember, but if there were some (besides Reagan, I don't want to hear about him) let me know.
I may send it, we'll see what happens!

Why don't you want to hear about Reagan? He's the last Republican who was a true conservative and believed in smaller government.

If a person "needs a kick in the @ss" after less than a year on the job, can't you see that he obviously was not the right person for the job?

Read some history about Teddy Roosevelt and Lincoln. Stop wasting time writing phony letters and do some reading to educate yourself. Grow up.

I strongly believe the Reagan is one of the worst president's we have ever had, and is responsible for many of the problems that we are currently facing today.
It's not a phony letter. And I've read tons more than more fair share. That was an actual question because I can only really remember 2 or 3 elections. Roosevelt and Lincoln, though great as they were, were from a different time. I am talking about candidates after Eisenhower.

Trappy, hope you archive a copy of your letter and read it back to yourself in 20 years or so.

Send the letter. You will never know if your letter hits the balance just at the proper time to prompt some action.

Trappy. What do you think of Thomas Jefferson as a lawmaker and a leader?

Barry, I only think the highest of him. Without a doubt he's one of the best we've ever had. On the other hand, Hamilton is also one of the best we've ever had.
Alright, I'll send it. I'm going to change a few things up, maybe add a bit more, but I'll send it.

Trappy- as you go along in life think about something

You said you dont expect him to keep his promises and you dont think Americans do either?

How can you say he was the better man then? You choice was based on his platform wasnt it? If it wasnt- what was it based on?

Thus the problem as you move along in life- question your own decisions- dont give him or yourself a pass

I think the other choice- would have done everything in his power to keep his promises

    Think about that.

    Regards from Iowa

trappy12, read up on Cloward/Piven, these are the blueprints that your president and his handlers are using to transform this country. Stop bullshitting your self and open your eyes to see whats really going.

    From Wikipedia

The Cloward–Piven strategy is a political strategy outlined by Richard Cloward and Frances Fox Piven, then both sociologists and political activists at the Columbia University School of Social Work, in a 1966 article in The Nation. The two argued that many Americans who were eligible for welfare were not receiving benefits, and that a welfare enrollment drive would create a political crisis that would force U.S. politicians, particularly the Democratic Party, to enact legislation "establishing a guaranteed national income."[1]

    Trappy,
To pen such a letter and never send it is a waste of time, yours and anyone else on here who bothers to read it ... When I was a young man I was taught to say what you mean, and mean what you say ... If you want to be labeled a Hypocrite tell us and never send the letter to whom you seemed to of addressed it to in the first place ... Read the second sentence and make up your own mind ... If you don't intend to send it you should not of posted it and then you should remove it ASAP ... WPT ...

I hope Obama never implements his policies. I am sure one of them is to take my shotguns away from me. I hope he continues to fail in his desires.

Trappy, what did you expect from an "organizer" that has never run anything? So how is the "Change we need" working for you?
