    Hey guys found this box of .410 ammo and was wondering how old it was. Any ideas?

    50's or prior. There plastic shells only came out in the early 60's if I remember correctly.

    I just bought a wooden 20 box crate of that shell while on vacation I found a antique dealer who had a couple in his display he told me he had more in his basement he called me a couple of days later said he had six more bought them all for a 150.00.

    Looks like 1950s or late 40s. They are old enough to have grandchildren and maybe Great Grandchildren to boot! If there is no Zip Code in the address, it's prior to 1963.

    WayneO - I used to hunt rabbits with those in a single shot 16 ga stevens at Markle Indiana in the 50's with my church basketball coach. Markle w as loaded with rabbits and we used a ferret to get them out of the holes, Ha

    That box may have made it into the early sixties. The first generation Remington plastics were limited to 12 gauge. Plastic .410s were probably 1964 or even later.
