    Hello All,

I know this is an off topic for Trapshooters.com, but I thought that any of you Airgun, BB Gun enthusiasts would like to know about The Daisy Museums New 125Th Anniversary Model 25 pump Rifle that they have now released for sale.

I just received mine this week, and for the money, I think it is a very nice Daisy Collectable, that would look good in anyone’s collection.......

The total production is 1000 Rifles…I was extremley fortunate to obtain a very low serial number of 87/1000…

If you are interested in purchasing one...…Make sure you ask for Debra, she really took care of me and shipped the rifle the same day I placed the order…and had it in three days!

I Don’t know how many are left, so if you want to purchase one, here is the link to their web site:

    http://shop.daisymuseum.com/

    Discription:

On the occasion of the company’s Centennial in 1986, Daisy produced what we believe was one of the most beautiful limited edition collectible guns in our history – a model 25. This year, on the occasion of the company’s 125th anniversary, the Daisy Museum is offering a very special, limited edition gun which rivals the beauty of that classic. This Daisy Model 25 Pump Gun, produced for Daisy’s 125th anniversary, has a blued finish with a goldtone-filled stamped design and a medallion inset into the American Walnut stock - which is laser engraved; serially numbered 0001 of 1000 to 1000 of 1000. Both the stock and foregrip are walnut. The gun is packaged in a hardwood display case with sliding lid, as shown. It comes with a certificate of authenticity and a tin of BBs and is priced at $149.95 plus shipping. Own a piece of Daisy history. Orders will be filled on a first come first served basis while quantities remain.

    Thanks for Looking,

    Stu Gabriel (MrGun)

We did the same thing, but with Crossman 760's (way more power). We had a "2 pump rule", but that went out the window when my pal Jimmy shot my older brother who was convinced that Jimmy was using more than 2 pumps. Well, my brother started pumping away as fast as he could and shot Jimmy in his boney a$$ and it rickocheted and shattered the neighbors slideing door. We all had to chip in the $50 for the repair and my Dad kicked both our a$$es.

    True story.

A friend loaned me his Model 25. I hated it. To me it was awkward to pump. Maybe that's because I was a kid. I later received a Daisy 99 Boy Scout lever action with target sights. Liked it much better, and it was more accurate. Had a lot of fun with that gun, and have lots of memories. My first hunting was for trash birds like English sparrows and starlings. The 99 only killed with head shots. Not an issue with my later 760.

I remeber shooting a cardboard container with my red ryder and the bb bounced back and hit me right between the eyes! I didn't say a word! I knew if I did I wouldn't see the gun again. BB gun wars! 2 pumps only for the guys with the good guns! No shooting at the face or the crotch. I rember wearing a cup because I didn't trust the other guys.

I have no idea how they can produce this gun as pictured for that price and make any money. Pretty cool stuff really.

My first gun was a Model 25 when I was 12 years old. I felt really bad about killing my first bird, but street lights were fun to shoot. The one I have now needs some repairs, but I heard that the parts they use now result in less muzzle velocity, so I haven't bothered.

    Train222,

What's that thing behind the trigger in your photo? Is that a safety?

A schoolboy chum lost an eye in a BB gun "war". He was peeking through a knothole in a fence when shot in the eye. Most BB guns in the neighborhood were put away for a long time afterward.

All the metal parts were made in China. The stocks and display case are made in Colorado. Assembled in U.S.A. As much as I like Daisy BB guns I will continue to buy guns that were made in Plymouth Mich. or Rogers Arkansas.

As far as i am concerned the "made in China" takes the collective value away from the item and will be a hard sell.

Here's a picture I just found on Ebay of James Dean shooting what looks like a Daisy Model 25, with Liz Taylor looking on. There's also a Model 25 in the foreground.

Sorry, but I have to disagree with you on this one....

When I add a Rifle, Pistol or Shotgun to my collection, weather it's a Powder Burner or an Airgun, I buy it because I like the looks of it and it's something that I want to add to my collection.

I didn't buy it, hoping to sell at a later date for a large profit.......

God willing, when my Grand Children are old enough to enjoy my Gun Collection, it will be handed down to them.....

But one of the main reasons why I purchased this 125th Anniversary Model 25 and similar pieces, is that it really helps suports the Daisy Museum.

    Just my humble opion....

You can check out my entire collection of Air Rifles, Air Pistols, Shotguns and Pistols on my web site:

train222 I respect your opinion. Your web site is very nice. I would like to do that with my gun and ammo collection. In the process of taking pictures.

Although the model 25 shot harder, I wouldn't trade my lever action one for them.
