I shot some samples from DR, and they did not seem to seal well. I got the 12S3 clones, and subbed them for Claybusters in my handicap load. They were VERY light, and several blooped.

Hopefully, the production model will seal better.

    Hello rick1,

Would you be so kind a to give me the name on the folks making the statement.

"dont sell because D R priced them too high" BS.........

    Here is the scoop.

They show our full product line in the catalog. Have 25% in inventory and tell folks the FACTORY is on back-order if you want something they don't have.

Sorry Folks, but we don't have back-orders.

I too have been loading Down Range wads and like them. If you are getting bloopers, try adjusting your reloader to provide more wad seating pressure. I like 30 to 40 lbs, and usually get 35 with the new DR TGT12's which are patterning about 80 - 83 percent at 38yds in my fixed choke 1100.

My local supplier gets wads from Jerry's, I was told that he could no longer supply me with Down Range---this is a shame, I won't use Claybusters & factory Remington wads are a rip off, I sure hate to pay cross country freight, but I will unless something better shows up--I live in Eastern NC zip code 28560---Phil

To answer the question. I use Versalite from DR on Kevin's recommendation. They do not foul the barrel and produce good patterns. I am loading at about 1150 and they seem to work fine.

I really like the new tgt-12 clones that D G just came out with. If you load a 1 oz load in a AA or rem. hull this is the way to go. I'm waiting for a distibutor to get them here in the N. Ky./ Southern Ohio area. Thanks Kevin for a great job....Tim

I've loaded the DRA-12 1 oz and 1 1/8 wads for a while, About 25,000 of them. I've had narry a blooper and I'm very pleased with how they load in the new AA hulls. I've yet to have a wrinkled hull with the DR wads. JUst ordered another 10,000 from Grafs in Mo.

Hmmm, just got off the phone with Kevin.

He seems to know what's going on with his product and Jerrys, so I think I'll take his word for it.

If Jerry's isn't going to carry Downrange wads any more, I'll just buy them from someone else.
