Can't remember where I seen it but someone showed a easy way to set-up a wire heater to cut foam for guncases. It was pretty slick. I though uhmmm when I finish my wooden gun case I use this Idea. We my mind forgets all about it till I'm ready for it and now I'm lost. Thought maybe it was on here or somone else has seen it. Help. All you need is an electric carving knife. I use one to cut the foam in my Pelican cases for my AR's and Tactical Rifle. I lay the gun in reverse of what I want so when I flip it over, its the way I want it in the case and you cannot see the markings where I traced the outlines.

Oscar is right, the electric turkey carving knife is the way to go.

Just remember to cut it just a little smaller then the item you are putting in the case. That way it is tight and snug in the case.
