Give Dennis Devault a call and he should be able to help you out. He posted a picture a day or two ago of a Kreighoff T/S stock that he did this too.

Yes...as long as you don't mind a cut comb with adjustable comb hardware....cut your comb out, put it wherer you need it, or if its that far off they can always shape another but matching wood and finish is always a challenge.

Besides an adjustable, how about just reshaping the whole buttstock and then refinish.

Where do you live and can you get to Dennis in Ohio? I could do the same work if your closser to the east coast. If you are going to reshape the stock it can be done and it can be done so that it looks good. Don't do anything unless you can go directly to a gunfitter who can fit the stock prior to the work.

I'm pretty sure WD30 was a commercial failure, replaced by WD40....

I have seen a stock made by Mr. Goldberg, who posted above (I live in MD and have also met the gentlman once). It was a fabulous job anybody would be proud of.

So...you have options....the thing about reshaping the wood is...well, do you have enough wood to do what you want...if not, then new comb fitted to your stock.

    Cheers
