need to remove the stand offs from the barrel of a custom adjustable rib ~ any ideas of the best way ~ i'm guessing they were silver soldered on?

I send all my soldering work out, so I'll talk to my guy and see what he suggests. In fact, I need to call him on some other work today, so I'll get his ideas to you as soon as I can...good luck

They were put on with heat (about 1100 degrees) and should come off the same way. If I was removing those, I'd turn the barrel upside down and apply the heat to the posts only and let the heat migrate up to the silver soldered joint. That way you'd keep as much heat as possible away from the barrel itself within reason taking less time for the heat to work its magic on the union.
