Below are a few photos I wanted to share of some stock work done recently by CRV Custom Arms. The first gun shown is a Blaser with a custom crossover stock built by CRV which allows the shooter to use his left eye as he is a left-eye-dominant shooter. In addition to stock-making, stock work and checkering, Chris Vendel of CRV in Rochester, NY also offers a complete line of professional gunsmithing services that are reasonably priced.

The second gun shown is a BT-99+ that Chris recently refinished. Great workmanship on a real nice piece of wood.

Chris also machines and sells extended choke tubes, custom small front beads, soft top combs, pad adjusters, and much more. He does trigger jobs, porting, recoil pads, installs all types of recoil reduction devices, extends forcing cones, builds and installs adjustable combs, performs shotgun annual services, installs precision fit stocks, and even finds time to shoot a bit. He does great work and can be reached at crvcustomarms@yahoo.com, 585)730-8166 (shop) or 585) 330-8161 (cell).

Chris also had time to win the HOA at the Empire Grand this week.

That is some nice looking work.

Dad just finished up on my gun. It was in pretty rough shape, considering it had 10 years of heavy usage. As most people who know us know, he gave the stock and forend to me a few years ago when I got the Seitz, and he made himself a new stock and forearm. Just an example of the kind of guy he is. It came out better than I could have imagined.

Christopher, With all the compliments you gave your Dad, I'll bet it won't save you from cleaning up around the shop, or mowing the grass. Larry Evans

Usually anyone who can shoot like Chris can against the best in the world does not have that amazing talent as a real good complete Gunsmith. He is a real artist in every sense of the word.

He continues to amaze me and I have known him for a long time.

Terry - I've known him a bit longer than you. I'm in awe of all he's done and can do in the future. He continues to amaze me every year.

I agree with all the comments. Chris has always done outstanding work on my guns, also. He is an awesome teacher, too!

My barrel sticker for CRV Customs Arms is currently missing the "C" thanks to the cold weather shooting this year...hoping to get that replaced soon!

    Shoot well,
    Jo Ann
