1. We have added the ability for anyone to 'bump' threads that they have created. This is mainly useful in the classifieds area where posters constantly bump for sale threads to bring it to the top. This allows them the ability to do that without having to clutter the thread with extra 'TTT' and 'Bump' type posts. To bump it, go inside your thread and click on 'Thread Tools' at the top, then select 'bump'. You can bump only once per 24 hour period.

For more detailed information please see this post: Thread Bump Functionality.

Also checkered side panels which I always like

As you see as nice a number 3 as you will find as it came from the factory

some small nicks as you would expect but very little use

Going to put it on here first

1/3 the price of purchasing a set like this

    $1177.77 plus something for shipping

A Price- you know how I value your decision but the Krieghoff dealers would go bankrupt if they used your judgements

I was told it was a 3 grade upgrade above a superscroll

So this doesnt look like that?

    Regards from Iowa

The grading is definitely subjective, but you can look at Hal's website and see that the above set is below Crown and Bavaria.

    http://www.halkguns.com/detail.cfm?g_ID=34

Still a beautiful set at an attractive price though.

To further confuse the grading just look what HALK is offering and the prices.
    I think Gene's stock is a buy!!!!!!!

Gene I just have to throw a jab. From someone like yourself that is a "self proclaimed" krieghoff expert and you don't even list a L.O.P. on you stock come on.... How do you plan to sell it....
P.S. it is a pretty piece of wood it is not a crown grade though but at that price I'm sure you'll sell it as long as its not 13 inches.haha

I dont know guys- I looked on his site and I do think it is much better than the Bavaria

    Why?

Because the figure lines are wider apart and the distinction is better between colors

So again who knows but such stocks are much rarer than the bavarias shown on his website where the figure is all jammed up

On the other hand- who knows- I have seen them pick up a stock and a number is written on the stock and that is the grade- no discussion- nothing- and their grading and mine might be totally different-

    So who knows

It is standard length- it hasnt been cut- I might be forced to put it back on a receiver- I will let you know lop

If I were still a K-Gun shooter I'd be all over this. Great price and I really like the blonde with black streaks. A lot of personal taste here and wood grading is very subjective.

    Gene,
Would you have any interest in trading this wood for a Ruger 1-B in .22-250 Rem? This gun is N.I.B., unfired. It has been fitted with a custom stock and forearm. The stock is highly figured walnut and was made with a cheek piece.Pm me if interested.
