I purchased a E-Z Cocker from horton for my crossbow. Everything worked fine until I tied it on the back of my ATV and burned the braided string on the exhaust. I've contacted Horton, trying to get a replacement, with no sucess.

    Any help would be appreciated.

I bought a crossbow last fall (a Parker Terminator) and was worried about cocking it without using some sort of slow mechanical device like the one most bow makers fit to the stock but couldn't draw it by hand due to the arthritis in my shoulders. I use a rope cocking device that works many times faster and more quietly than the crank-style ones, doesn't add weight to the bow and easily fits into your coat pocket.

    You might try the following.

BB Archery Sales & Service, Raytown, MO : reviews, (816) 763-2699

I needed a string and cables for a Jennings compound crossbow that had not been made for about 12 years and they fixed me up.
