My MEC 9000G press is not crimping my 1oz loads properly. It will often leave a large hole in the middle of the crimp and shot will leak out. I never had this problem until recently. I am using 1oz windjammer wads. What is the proper adjustment to fix this?

There are 2. One is the crimp cam. A little goes a long way here. The other is the crimp starter, shells should come out of there with a hole about the size of a pencil, no bigger.

Set the crimp starter first and fine tune with the cam. A little goes a long way. It's in the book. If you don't have a book they are on Mec's website.

Thannk you, the problem was the crimp starter, I moved it down and the shells are now coming out perfect.
