Jury is still out but the Cougar killed by Chicago Police two days ago on a city street is believed to have traveled here from Wisconsin and may have come from as far away as the Dakotas. What do you think wild or pet let loose?

From the last report I read, officials believe it was not a pet.

It came within a mile of my house. It's a shame they had to kill it. From the sightings it probably came all the way from Canada, down through Wisconsin, northern Illinois, and into Chicago.

How many legs did the Cougar have? I have come to believe that most of the Cougars in Chicago only have two legs and smoke cigars.

Chicago is a dangerous city like Newburgh where I used to live. The cougar should have known better than go out on the streets alone at night. Should have hooked up wit some boyz in da hood. If it was from Canada maybe it didn't know any better.

    RIP

Make jokes, but I'm PO'd they had to kill it. My wife and I like cats and we would have taken it into our house as a pet. Do cougars eat a lot, and would we need to buy extra Kitty Litter?

I am positive it was not from canada cause it never waived a white flag when it saw the guns.

It is a shane that they had to shoot and kill the cougar and teste indicate that it was not a released pet. Last year there was a coyote that walk into a small grocery store and sat in a soda cooler only in Chicago.

Pity the cougar didn't do a little hunting at city hall first.

Damn what the hell is going on in Chicago.

Cougars needlessly being gunned down in the streets. In broad daylight. More out of town cougars on the way.

Coyotes sticking up 7-11's cats sleeping with dogs the whole
City is going to hell in a hand basket.

Maybe I'll skip O'Hare the next time I fly.

Starting to sound like Animal Planet .

It is a good thing they shot it. because cougars think of little kids as a tasty treat. It happend here in oregon a couple years ago. some little girl was just playing in here back yard and a cougar saw her as a food sorce and that was it. And now that you cant use dogs to hunt cougar here the population is going through the roof. It is just a matter of time befor the cougars get a nother kid.

It must have come from Wisconsin, our DNR (Do Nothing Right) planted these animals along with wolfs and rattle snakes. That poor cougar got tired of paying such high taxes and increased license fees. It's to bad it didn't feed on the Governor before it left. 15000 retires leave this state each year, the cougar had enough too.

Taxes will go down in Wisconsin when the welfare rolls start getting smaller just like every state in the Union. More people working less people eating candy and watching TV all dam day
