Radio Station WHAM 1180 in Rochester, NY broadcasted this report 12/3/12

Man Injured When Gun Accidentally Goes Off

Ontario County Deputies say a Shortsville man was injured when his gun accidentally went off over the weekend. It happened at the home of 38 year old Jason Bliven on Saturday night as he was trying to place his Glock handgun in a gun safe.

The gun fell to the floor and one round was discharged. The bullet hit Bliven in the right side of the chest and exited out his right shoulder area. Bliven was alert and concious at the scene.

He was taken to Strong Hospital by Mercy Flight where is in guarded condition. Deputies say Bliven does have a valid pistol permit.

Here is an example of a gun attacking a person. No dog or other outside influence caused the gun to discharge. Evidently, even a Glock can do this.

Must be some infomation missing. I thought Glocks had a trigger safety to prevent them from discharging if dropped???

Yep for sure the "rest of the story" is missing,, Hate the way media writes about things they know nothing about, Then cut and paste portions to suit the story indicating guns are evil devices,,,

as for cockstas. he needs to stay with just reporting sports, ( lousy at that )

The Glock has THREE safeties to prevent this. There is missing info on this deal.

They have been dropped on concrete from helicopters, and do not fire. One can beat them with a hammer and they will not fire. One can pull the trigger, and they will fire, EVERY TIME.

Considering the safety the Glocks have bult in victim probably shot himself and in emarrassment faked the lousy story to police. Probably happens more than guns "accidently" go off.

No question. He is probably looking for a sympathetic anti-gun jury so he can sue Glock. It sounds like a ton of BS was readily ingested by anti-gun media types.

One can speculate the guy somehow pulled the trigger and is using the falling-gun (lawsuit) excuse.
