Cost of building a trap range?

    I was wondering about what the cost would be of putting in 1 official trap field? Thrower,concrete, All it takes? Thanks for the comments

    targetmaster... Depends on the trap you choose, but, you can figure $10,000 to $12,000 as a conserative figure if you do a lot of the work yourself.. Just our experience.. Dan Thome (Trap2)

    Thrower Pat trap- wobble $7900.00
    Trap house-do it yourself- 2500.00
    Concrete 16 to 27 yards 2500.00
    Total $ 12500.00

    We did the concrete and house for bit less than that. Used concrete block on a poured concrete floor for the house, with a treated wood sliding roof. Also our walks go from 16-27 but we saved some concrete $ by not connecting the ends between the 27.

    What about electric for the trap or are you running from a genny?

    Take a look at Dry Stack CMU's and Surface Bonded Concrete for the traphouse foundation. Buying or borrowing a cement mixer minimize cost, but you'll feel it longer....

    We just built a new field and the electrical and materials along with labor for the blocks ran $3000.00. That was with me doing all the labor and wiring. If you paid for the labor you could easily add $4000. to that figure along with the cost of the machine. Bill Parson Jr.
