Has anyone converted their K-model 32 to K-80 internals? Does anyone have an idea of the cost to do this? Thanks, Bulge.

No but I once converted my dishwasher into a snow thrower.

    I bought her a shovel.

    Waah!

I think it runs about $1000 to $1200 to convert to a K-80 but I won't swear to it.

Full conversion 1800 about depending on serial number of Krieghoff- under 1000 would be more expensive

More like $1500+ ... Call Ernest Marlette if you are serious about doing it.

A lot more than it's worth in my opinion, the old 32s work just fine!

Eurojoe, i picked up a complete set of K-80 internals for $400. I was just trying to justify my spending the money to convert my 32. From what most are saying here I did the right thing. Again thank you everyone you have eased my concerns. Bulge.

Mr Crevar on teh East side of teh 'burgh did the one I am shooting. I did not pay for it so I have no idea what it costs but he should be able to tell you. Muzzleblast owned the gun prior to me and had double releases in it. The releases should have been a few hundred more.

The K32 internals are very good and I would not change them with todays prices. I have 2 K32's both were changed long ago for less than 500.00 Most people want the curved trigger of the K80 and that is a 250.00 job that Briliey now does to your K32 trigger that is the way I would go.

There's reason for the 32s trigger shape. The mechanism lifts as much as pulls back. The people with the curved K80 trigger could actually pull down on it and it wouldn't go bang, hence the ultra light trigger pulls people experimented with, and these guns will double when the trigger pull is too light. Early guns had a bad rep as a result.

I have a model 32 Krieghoff and had Earnest Marlette put a K80 style trigger shoe on the gun so I could adjust the trigger. Also I did not partically like the looks of the 32 trigger. Total was $500 which included trigger shoe, barrel selector and machine work. I had this done 3-4 years ago.
Before I sent the gun to Marlette I talked to Krieghoff and I think they wanted around 1200 at the time but that was for the complete K80 conversion, sears springs and whatever. Krieghoff told me that unless I wanted an adjustable trigger,or for cosmetic reasons did not like the old 32 trigger style, you really did not gain anything by a trigger conversion. I think Briley also does trigger shoe conversions

The rest of the story. I have a K-80 unsingle to shoot singles and handicap. I wanted a gun for a backup that felt the same (as close as possible) and bought the 32. I then found K-80 internals, a set for $400. I had a K-80 O/U barrel and trigger guard. Now I will have a backup that feels the same and if I want to shoot doubles I will have that ability also. Bulge.
