I have a MX10RS under single that I'm thinking of sending to Wright's Gunsmiths for threading and chokes. Any opinions would be appreciated. BRGII

    My opinion is, don't!

Why are you contemplating this modification?

If its not patterning like you want, you'd probably be better off sending it to Wilkinson or someone like that, and not getting choke tubes put in it.

I guess I have to go against the grain. If you want the ability to select and change the choke when you like then the only way to do that is to add choke tubes and Wrights does excellent work. No matter who you have "work their magic" on a fixed choke barrel it is still JUST a fixed choke barrel and you have gained nothing in the way of increased utility. Go with the choke tubes.

Thanks I appreciate the input, just have to practice more I guess. Damn tight pattern for 16's though. BRGII

Try a Windjammer wad before sending the shotgun out for major work.
