Had the pleasure of shooting with Aaron today at Kern County Gun Club and witness him breaking 100 straight in the handicap from the 27 yd line! Quite a feat as this is the first time anyone has done it at KCGC. Congratulations Aaron!

PS: Aaron DID enter the $1000 bill purse.... it went home with him today!

    Congratulations Aaron, great job.

Aaron is a one eyed shooter that holds on the house lid and shoots light 71/2's from a Perazzi. He's very tough in SoCal, sure like him to come over an shoot with us in Arizona for the Autumn and Spring grands. How about it Aaron ? I'll put you on our squad if you like. Chads got my phone number.

    Aaron,

Great job this weekend. You captured one of the greatest prizes in this State. I am ecstatic that I was there to see a great score posted by a great shooter. Hope you enjoy the honker shooting in Missouri. Let me know when you have the photos posted and I will see you and your Dad soon.

Thank you. The weather was nice and some days they just look big. Good well run club and the orange dome targets worked. Thanks to Lucio @ Perazzi USA for taking the time to get my MX8 just right. I plan on hit'n a few more "big shoots" this next year.

Tom, Quail hunting sounds like more fun than trap! I've seen a few in AZ this year.

Great shooting Aaron!! There's more of the same down the road for you and your determined shooting! The quail will be ripe soon too!

It's always nice to see the almost impossible, the highly improbable, become the realistically possible. I'm in awe!

    Aaron --

Come over sometime in November, December, or January. These are the best times to hunt the quail. It's cooler then and the dogs can smell them a lot better when it's not so hot. Cost is about $30.00 for three days of hunting for a out of state person. Bring your black Labrador so he can have some fun too. You can stay at my house.

Great shooting, Brother! Dad said you only cut one of the last ten in half, had to be battling some serious nerves!
Tom - Have you had a chance to see the progress on the five bunkers going in in Tucson?

Jeff, I'm going to the club Wednesday and I'll post then. Been away from home 7 weeks or thereabouts but I did hear 3 are almost in place.

    Jeff --

Just got off the phone with Doug Sims the Tucson VP. He told me that three of the bunkers will be operational within 45 days, maybe sooner.

He said that he will find this thread in a few days and post some pictures of the construction. He also will have some news on the upcoming shoots that he will post here.

Say hi to your Dad for me.

I snapped these today at the club. Looks as though three are outfitted with M. traps and almost ready to go! I was told we would be shooting on them in early October!! WooHoo!!

Gene - Thx for the photos, the 2 x 4's are for the fresh concrete to cure. The concrete is less than 2 weeks old.

Doors and ladders will be fabbed and installed soon.

The 'in bunker' wiring is nearly complete, and the control station conduit and conductor is next.

Targets and shooters - that's all we will need soon!
