It's now OK for you to pack and go to Bars and Rests. if you have a CC permit. (Ohio)

I have mixed feelings on the Bar part.

Liquor changes peoples personality and Egos may prevail wrongly.

We will have to wait and see.

    Any opinions????

    Regards....Gerald

My opinion is that you misrepresnted the law by neglecting to say that the CC permit holder ISN'T allowed to drink and carry- that means no drinking, not just a little. This law is perfectly reasonable.

All the bad guys are armed, why not the good guys?

I like it because I can go into a bar restaurant in Toledo at lunch time for food and not worry about my CC out in the truck, Or take the Wife out for dinner. NO drinking!

It's mostly about restaurants which happen to have bars. You can't lgally drink while carrying in any case. States surrounding Ohio have the same law. It's no big deal.

If I had a bar, dram shop liability being what it is, I would prohibit any
concealed weapon on the premises. I believe that concealed carry is not allowed in any building that clearly posts a sign prohibiting concealed weapons.

And if your place of business was in Texas you would lose a great amount of business from the prohibition.

Last year I visited Canton Ohio to see a stock guru.(ok it was Devault). When I went to the hotel, they had a sign banning carrying or possessing a gun on the premises. I asked for the manager and told him I was canceling my reservation because I could not bring my gun on the premise and that I would notify Dennis about their prohibition. They took the sign down and said some group was going around and putting them up. When I went to lunch with Dennis, the same sign was on the restaurant. I said I wouldn't eat there. The sign also has come down. Let them know you are going to hurt their pocket and they get rid of signs and welcome you.

You could not be more mistaken. A sign of that nature can legally be ignored in my state of Kentucky.

Do you think there has never been a gun in a bar before this law?

Why pray tell is it that I have to pay and get special permission to use my Second Amendment right? Why do other citizens have the right to deny my rights? I don't have to get a permit for my First Amendment rights or Fourth or Fifth or any other for that matter.
