Compatability to Briley S-53 chokes?

    Anyone know if any other choke/brand is compatable to Briley's Series 53 chokes?

    Most choke mfgs can make chokes for Briley threads, but there is no "interchange" between any commonly mfg chokes.

    I think Briley S 54 chokes are for bore larger than .740"

    There're no other standard production chokes interchange with it. It has Briley thread.

    As I recall, the S-53 is a long thinwall. Briley probably cut the bbl and made the installation. I'd stick with them to keep the integrity of the installation and Briley stands behind their work. If its not a thinwall, its probably not as critical.
