I'm thinking of getting a backup for my TM-1 and I picked up a BT-99 34")with Monte Carlo Stock at our club shoot and both seem about identical to sight picture, weight, and fit.

Anyone else shot both and am I right?

    thanks
    Bob

I shoot a release in my TM so I'm thinking with a release in the bt99 might get them same.

Why would you need a backup for a TM-1? If you feel that you do, get another TM-1. That way everything will be interchangable.

I have both and they shoot the same for me. The BT is a better back up as parts are available and TM1 parts are getting difficult and expensive. I love my TM1 but Perazzi discontinuing parts makes my jaws tight forcing you to buy something new. The BT is a tuff as nails very reliable I'm happy with both if you get a BT get the Hubbard release it is a Bowen design he purchased it from Bruce and it is as good as a Perrazi trigger IMHO and that is saying a lot. Bob, use the TM-1 for the backup to the '99. Coat it real good with RIG.
