Combo Single vs O/U for singles and handicap ?

    Some of us were discussing this today at the trap range.

    Several who had combo guns offered that they actually shoot the lower barrel of an O/U just as well as they shoot the single barrel from their combo gun.

    This is both Singles at 16 and Handicap.

    Thoughts ?

    I would have to agree. I now use an MT-6 for everything. I am currently using my combo Beretta 682 O/U for sporting clays. I'm contemplating on selling the Beretta 32" unsingle barrel; as I never use it anymore. Personal preference I guess. Ed

    Personal preferance, go with whatever feels good to you. Have done both & had good sucess with either. Shot the bottom barrel on a Perazzi combo for 15 years in 16s, shot the top single for long yardage caps. Now have a Blaser & am shooting the unsinlge & loving it for 16s. Haven't tried it in caps yet but I suspect I will like it. If it feels good - DO IT!
